Project Glimmer inspires at-risk teenage girls and women to believe in themselves by letting them know their community cares. Located in San Leandro, two major boxing events take place before Christmas and around graduation/Mother’s Day.
Oakland Uptown has participated in Project Glimmer’s boxing events as a group since 2018 after a member joined and proposed this as a service project.
