Life Lessons in Social Justice

March 30, 2020 | 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM

Mississippi State Senator Hillman Terome Frazier will discuss his life stories about advancing social change and justice in Mississippi. One such achievement was leading the Legislature to ratify the 13th amendment to the U.S. Constitution 1995, making Mississippi the last state to ratify this amendment. He authored the bill which made Dr. Martin Luther King’s birthday an official state holiday in Mississippi, and most recently, he was a part of the Commission that redesigned the state flag.

Join us as we hear how he was able to create change, and how he sees the future of social justice continue to advance across America.
